This Maruti MPV along with the upcoming Maruti SUV XA Alpha are seen to bring the breakthrough for the company. The MPV on the other hand will be more fortunate being a family mover. India is a land where joint families still exist happily compared to the rest of the world where nuclear families have broken the balance of the societal bonds. With a seating capacity for seven people, Ertiga MPV will be able to offer Indians, the ease of going to places together. The Maruti Ertiga price as per reports will be decided after the budget.

Hoped to be launched in petrol and diesel options, the Ertiga will be an offering over and above the segment handled by Maruti Omni and Maruti Eeco. The diesel Ertiga is expected to return a mileage of over 20 kmpl while the petrol one will also be quite frugal.
