MSIL: Encouraged by the success of Celerio

The recently launched Celerio hatchback from country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited has played as an extra energy dose to boost the company’s inspiration of manufacturing customer focused cars in Indian car market.
It is now reported that during this year company is going to launch three new products in Indian car market by the end of this year. Of these three products two products will be facelift versions of its existing car models one from hatchback i.e., Maruti Swift and the other one would be its sibling Maruti Swift Dzire sedan. Both these vehicles will be offered with new updates. But apart from this one more interesting vehicle that will be launched by company by the end of this year will be Ciaz, which is a mid-sized sedan showcased during the recently organized in Indian Auto Expo 2014. Earlier there were speculations that company will launch this product sometimes during the third quarter of next year, but now with increasing competition in the segment company has declared that it will launch the Ciaz by this year end.
The major competitors of Maruti Ciaz in Indian car market would be new Honda City and recently launched Fiat Linea both cars receiving an encouraging response from Indian buyers. Apart from this the existing mid-sized from MSIL has also not proved to be a performance winning car, which might be another reason which has inspired company to bring Ciaz at the earliest. Though whatever is the reason but two things are clear one that Indian car market will have different options in mid-sized cars and secondly company wants to grab the benefit of success enjoyed by Celerio.
