Renault Fluence is one of the classy three-box products from the company that has been struggling in the domestic auto market. The auto-giant, Renault has given a deep thought towards the consumer feedbacks and has launched the new extra powered Renault Fluence diesel at the price tag of Rs. 15.23 lakh (Ex-showroom New Delhi). The 1.5 liter dCi diesel engine now produces maximum power of 110 PS with its maximum torque of 240 Nm. Though the power added in the diesel in-line is not much, but it would certainly impact the performance of the car.

The new diesel Fluence is said to be poised of turbo-lag that enables the engine to drive quite easily in the city conditions. Besides this, the engine of the car is mated by a 6-speed manual transmission. The new Diesel Fluence is acclaimed to deliver ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 20.4 kmpl. Interestingly, the previous diesel variant of this car had ARAI acclaimed fuel economy of 21.8 kmpl.

The auto-giant earlier introduced the petrol variant of this car mated with automatic transmission (available in E4 variant of Fluence) and the diesel variant of this saloon was introduced in the E2 variant that lacked many features. However, the price of both the petrol and diesel variants was more or less same.

Now, the company has launched the diesel Fluence in the E4 variant that has got all the features which were missing in the E2 diesel variant of this luxury sedan. In addition, the diesel Fluence has now got extra power boosted in it, though the engine is the same from the K9K unit. The Fluence E4 diesel posses the same features like petrol E4 variant, that includes; Rain sensing wipers, Dual AC vents with climate control, Darkness sensing headlamps, 16 inches alloy wheels, ABS, EBD, Dual Airbags, Side –chest level Airbags for front passengers, ESP, ASR, Cruise control and Parking sensors. Added to this, the company is availing 5 years/ 1 lakh kilometers anti-rust warranty on this saloon purchase.
