5 January, 2012: Mahindra’s petite SUV, Mahindra Quanto is all set to make its debut in the South African automotive market soon. Rumour has it that the South Africa bound Mahindra Quanto could come powered with a 2.2 litre, four cylinder diesel mill; however, the model being sold in India is equipped with a three pot diesel engine. Mahindra Quanto which was launched last year in the country gained over 12k bookings within few days of the SUV’s launch, however it still could not manage to match monthly sales number with Renault’s compact SUV, Duster. Other Mahindra cars launched in South Africa are doing pretty well and hopefully Quanto will follow the same custom.

11 December, 2012: Utility giant Mahindra & Mahindra has registered an upward trend of 23% in domestic sales last month with 46755 vehicles, while last November in 2011 it stood at 38159 vehicles.
