10 April, 2013: Mahindra E20, the revolutionary small car maker Mahindra has inked contract with Vodafone for Machine-to-Machine (m2m) communication services. With any smart phone or internet enabled computer device can know about the hatch’s information like the battery charge left or the nearby charge station or control key functions using smart phones services from Vodafone.  The consumer can also distantly manage the E2O’s air-conditioning and turn the AC on to pre-heat or pre-cool the vehicle before they use it. 8 January, 2013 : Mahindra’s electric car earlier known as Reva NXR has been named as Mahindra E20. The car was displayed at the 2012 Auto Expo and since then there have been talks about its launch. Mahindra E20 is expected to launch in India by March or April this year. Mahindra Reva E20 price is anticipated to be around Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh. The hatchback will be able to run 160 kms in a single charge and will attain a top speed of 105 kmph. Mahindra E20 will be manufactured at the company’s Bangaluru plant, only 30,000 units of the hatchback will be produced initially; however, the manufacturing capacity could be increased depending on the demand.

The interiors of Mahindra E2O are decent considering it’s a small hatch. The cabin area can accommodate four people, five definitely cannot be adjusted, with the reclining seats the means of entry and exit for the rear end passengers, it definitely gets a little problematic to enter and exit the vehicle as you just don’t have to slide in like in the usual hatches. The legroom and headroom space again are just recent and people above average Indian height and build will feel crumpled and won’t be able to smoothly enter and exit the hatch.
