Skoda announces price hike for all models

01 August, 2012: The Czech based premium car firm in India, Skoda Auto has now increased the prices of its cars by 1% to 1.8% with effect from August this year. As a result, all its vehicles that include Skoda Rapid, Skoda Superb, Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti will be affected. The company has been doing pretty well in the past despite of slowdown in the market, which is due to higher interest rates and soaring petrol prices. According to the company the price up is done because of the high input costs and depreciating Indian currency in the global market.

March 22, 2012: Skoda has signified a huge pressure on the expenditure of a car seeker with the announcement of their revised price tag that they brought after the increment of excise duty by the government in this year annual budget planner. Now the famous Skoda Fabia hatchback will indebt the customers with an alarming hike in its price that correspondingly gives it a current ownership value of Rs 4.60 lakh which shows a considerable increase of Rs 17,000 in the previous price of Skoda Fabia which was quoted to be around Rs 4.43 lakh.

As per the new pricing policies followed by the company, Skoda Fabia comes for Rs 4.19 lakh for the base variant whereas the top end variant is availed at Rs. 6.30 lakhs (on-road, Delhi).

The hatchback is beautifully modified without compromising some necessary features like fog lamps, driver’s side airbag and rear AC vents. The major reduction in the price of new Skoda Fabia was made possible through the localization of the car. Among the features eliminated at this price comes the side airbag, powered mirrors, steering-mounted controls, a rear defogger and rear wash wipe even.

If the new Skoda Fabia is placed next to its earlier model, no prominent difference can be marked in its exterior.
