The sedan that has seen exceptional sales numbers last month with an up of 39 percent against last year in the same period will have two new additions in the array. These two trims will be Skoda Rapid Ambition Plus and Skoda Active Plus. Besides added best in class features the new Ambition and Active models will also offer true value to its buyers in terms of competitive pricing. Skoda Rapid is a mass segment sedan for Czech based car maker and it competes with Honda City, Renault Scala and Tata Manza.

Skoda Rapid Engine, Power and Performance

As mentioned above, the Skoda Rapid will be available in both Petrol and Diesel variants. Both Petrol and Diesel Engines will hold an engine capacity of 1.6 L and will generate a bashing power of about 105 PS. The torque will be variable with respect to the engine technology used. So far less is known about the engine details of the car.

Skoda Rapid Pickup and Acceleration

The pick up and acceleration of Skoda Rapid is quite impressive. The 1.6 Litre, 1598cc, DOHC petrol engine of the car enables it to cross the 100 kmph mark in just 10.7 seconds and to touch the top speed mark of 188 kmph. On the other hand, the pick up of its diesel sibling which is also equipped with the same capacity 1.6 Litre diesel engine is bit low as compared to petrol, but it can also cross 100 kmph mark in speedometer in 11.2 seconds and can touch the top speed mark of 183 kmph.
