Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country's second largest passenger carmaker and largest car exporter reported a growth of 2.1 per cent for the month of May 2013. Last month, the company sold 56,856 units of Hyundai cars against 55,669 units in the same month of year 2012. HMIL's domestic sales went up by 0.3 per cent to 32,102 units from 32,010 units in the same month of previous year. In a statement it is reported that exports of the company rose by 4.6 per cent. Country's one of largest passenger car makers GM India has disclosed the sales figures for the Month of May this year with a raise of 40 per cent. Sales of the company in last month were driven by newly launched MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle), Chevrolet Enjoy. General Motors India Limited sold 2177 units of the Enjoy MPV last month. Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s one of the leading automobile firms, has recently declared sales figures for the month of May this year. The company has done very well in domestic market but exports declined. In total sales, M&M reported a decrease of 1.2 per cent at 43,460 units in May 2013 as compared to total sales of 43,989 units in the same month of previous year.
