After Brio Sedan, MPV based on Brio platform on its way!

Honda Motors has got a lot of things going on. Not much time has been passed that we saw Honda Brio sedan on official page of Honda Thailand. And now, a buzz in town suggests that the car maker is planning to manufacture an MPV on the Brio platform. However, nothing has been confirmed as yet, but the rumors can’t be 100% false here. Apparently, the Brio MPV, which has been codenamed 2NH, is the next big thing that is expected to hit the thriving car markets of Indonesia, India and Thailand. This MPV might give a direct competition to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which has been a great success for MSI in India and few other South East Asian bazaars.

As rumored earlier, Honda Brio Sedan might get powered by a turbo diesel engine, therefore, we could expect Brio MPV to be launched in both petrol and turbo diesel engine options. The exteriors of the car are still kept under the hood, but if reports are to be believed, Honda will give the Brio MPV an elongated body and taller stance. This would make the car stand out amongst the other MPVs being sold in the market today. Being developed on the compact car platform, this MPV will get the versatility of a hatchback and the stance and space of an MPV.

The launch date isn’t set for Brio MPV or Brio Sedan. But according to the grapevine, Brio Sedan is expected to be officially revealed later next month. The price of Brio sedan is not fixed; hopefully it will be kept competitive to survive in the Indian car market. The new Honda Brio sedan will be giving a tough competition to cars like Toyota Etios, Tata Indigo eCS and Maruti Swift Dzire.

Yes, all the car makers also do this that they brings out various segment vehicles on the base hit model. I am sure that Brio based Honda MPV will also get good response from customers but i think first of all it will be driven by Thai and Indian customers have to wait for over 2 years.
