Akshay Kumar to Endorse Commercial Vehicles of Tata Motors
Domestic car maker Tata Motor has appointed Indian film star Akshay Kumar as the brand ambassador to promote the fleet of commercial vehicles. According to sources of company the “Original Khiladi” of Indian cinema will take over his new responsibility during the launch of company’s upcoming offerings in commercial vehicles to be held in January 2017. It is reported that along with promoting the commercial vehicles, Akshay Kumar will also participate in marketing and different campaigns that will be organized by the home grown car maker.
Welcoming the association of Akshay Kumar with Tata Motors, Mr.Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, "We are delighted to announce versatile and reliable Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the new face of Tata Motors' Commercial Vehicles Business Unit. Commenting on the same Akshay Kumar said, "The Tata brand is one that most of us have grown up with and now to be associated with them is indeed an honour. No one understands Indian trucking better than Tatas and there couldn't have been a better and more apt brand to promote. It was fun being in the driver's seat of one of those monster machines, during a product shoot."
It would be interested to know that during last six decades Tata Motors has succeeded in making its strong presence in the segment of commercial vehicles. The car maker has dominated the vehicles falling in range from sub 1 tonne to 49 tonne load applications. With an objective to strengthen its position in the segment the auto maker also initiated a pilot campaign in 2013 entitled as “Hamare Bus Ki Baat Hai” during which it organized interactive sessions with drivers to school buses and educated them about the safety tips to be followed while driving such vehicles. Moving ahead in 2014 the same campaign was initiated by the company throughout the company, as the result of these campaigns company has successfully trained thousands of school bus drivers across the country.
The fleet of commercial vehicles manufactured by company includes Ace, Prima along with huge vehicles for all types of transportation and carriage purpose. At present, company dominates 70% of the cargo-running mini trucks within the country.
