An MPV in pipeline of Renault for 2015
Renault India, the Indian arm of French car maker Renault Motors has an MPV and a small car in pipeline for launching in 2015. With these two new launches the car maker intends to explore its market share in Indian car market to five percent in two years. According to Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Renault India, CEO and Managing Director, the company is ready with its new car for next year. Mr. Sawhney also added that company has few products in pipeline for next year which will help in exploring the fleet of vehicles launched by company in Indian car market and which will help in enhancing its market share in Indian car market. Company’s market share at the end of last financial year was 2.6 percent and is anticipated to reach the mark of 3 percent by the end of this fiscal year. Moving ahead Mr. Sawhney said that company has 2.8 percent market share in Kerala and soon it will be above 3.5 percent. According to Mr. Sawhney company has sold out more than 1 lakh Duster’s in Indian car market and is determined to bring qualitative products in Indian car market.
As the part of its expansion plans company is working on exploring its dealership network to 175 by the end of this year. At present it has 38 outlets in South India which will be soon reach the number of 45. With an objective to lure customers during the festival of Onam company has initiated a campaign facilitating the participants to win 5 Dusters. Apart from this company is also offering facility of free insurance and free gifts of about Rs. 20,000 including Samsung mobiles and LED television.
At present French car maker has five products including Fluence sedan, Koleos SUV, compact sedan Pulse, premium sedan Scala and SUV Duster being sold in Indian car market through its Indian alliance Renault India Pvt LTD. Soon the company is going make India the hub of producing these products and exporting them to other countries.
