Ashok Leyland Stile launch could see a delay
The Maruti Ertiga has created its own space and has almost overthrown the dynasty of Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo. Now that the MPV segment is on the brink of a complete sway in favor of Ertiga, there are some MPVs that are also in the waiting to be launched in India. These are Nissan Evalia and Chevrolet Enjoy. Both the MPVs have their own styling and both have the guts to be instant hits in India just as the Ertiga is. Where the Enjoy and Evalia could have their presence felt this year, it is believed that the commercial version of Evalia called as Ashok Leyland Stile launch in India could be postponed.
To be powered by 1.5 L K9K turbo diesel engine with 85 bhp and 200 Nm peak torque under hood, the Evalia has the genes to become the most popular MPV in no time. The Stile which is all the more based on the Evalia MPV will be catering to the commercial segment and is expected to have a CNG unit as well. Also, the Stile will have lesser comfort and other features compared to the Evalia specifications and features as it will cater to the commercial segment that focuses more on power and mileage rather than comfort features. In addition to this, the Stile will be giving a tough time to Force Traveller that is currently catering to the commercial people mover segment.
Now that there are two more prominent MPVs coming in India, there is a hot debate among car industry experts as to the fate of the existing MPVs. Toyota Innova Being over priced people have started moving to Ertiga and as soon as they will have more options the car buyers in India will be moving to them as well. Another important factor that has made the wait for these MPVs more worth is the rising waiting period for the Ertiga.
