Ashok Leyland Stile spied!
Ashok Leyland, the country’s famous commercial vehicle manufacturer seems to be gearing up to make its foray into the passenger car segment with its own ‘Stile’. Here, Stile is the Italian name of Ashok Leyland’s new vehicle that is expected to see the sun soon in India. This vehicle along with many other offering in the commercial vehicle category will be displayed at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. Nissan Motors has also displayed their Nissan NV200 MPV also known ‘Nissan Evalia’ at the ongoing Auto Expo. The price of the vehicle is expected to around INR 7-8 Lakhs and it will compete with Mahindra Xylo.
The Ashok Leyland Stile is supposed to be will a bit low cost product when compared to Nissan’s offering of luxurious NV200 MPV. The seven to eight seater vehicle will boast a sedan sort of looks in the front along with ample space in the interiors, but the safety features like Antilock Brake System (ABS) and air bags will be missing. The Stile will feature a 1.5L diesel power-train that earlier server Mahindra-Renault Logan, which is now known as Mahindra Verito.
