Beijing Auto Show 2014: Volkswagen unveils Golf R400 Concept
Finally the German car maker Volkswagen has raised the curtain of its highly anticipated Golf R400 hatchback during the ongoing Beijing Auto Show 2014. The new hatchback is one of the awaited hatchback from the maker which is energized with EA888 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine generating the power of 400 PS at 7,200 rpm and torque of 450 Nm at rpm between 2,400 rpm and 6,000 rpm. The engine is coated with six speed double clutch automatic gearbox. With the top speed of 280 kmph this hatchback will accelerate the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of 3.9 seconds.
Talking about the features adhered in this new concept hatchback, let us begin from the features offered in the interiors which receive dark alcantar and carbon leather treatment followed by yellow trims and R badges. Both front and rear seats are blessed with head rests. Coming out to the exteriors which leaves the first impression on everyone it receives the silver flake metallic color which at first instance has ability to grab attention of everyone passing on road. The front fascia receives large air dams in glossy black color followed by honeycomb to provide complete cooling to hatchback. The bonnet also receives aggressive looks as an impact of strong shoulder lines. Moving ahead the hatchback is also blessed wih carbon fibre roof with ORVM.
Going to the rear portion it receives wheel arches of 235/35 R10 tyres along with enlarge air diffuser on bumper and quadruple tail pipes.
