BMW India that has been relatively playing on the back foot and focusing on boosting sales of its cars in India has now decided to launch three new cars in the second half. The beginning of course will be done with the BMW 3 Series 2012 F30 launching on the July 27. Now that BMW X1 has its prominent rival in the form of Audi Q3, it is mandatory for the Bavarian Motor Company to launch its facelifted version and this will be the second car coming. The third being the BMW 7 Series luxury saloon that will be appearing in a new avatar soon. With the new launches, BMW hopes to take its sales to cross the 10k units mark. This will also help the carmaker strengthen its position specially when Mercedes and Audi are bit aggressive about their campaign and new car launches.

The German rival has unveiled the Mercedes Benz B Class Sports Tourer that will take on X1 in a pretty aggressive way both in terms of styling and in terms of price as well. However, its hatchback proportions could still make people hold on to X1. No doubt, the kidney shaped grille cars are a real craze among the luxury car buyers as well as those who want to mix luxury with some sports activity. In India, the X1 SUV has been more than a success and has prompted its rivals Mercedes and Audi to launch cars dampening sales of the X1.

As part of the design changes on the 7 Series, it will have changes to the exterior and will get new headlamps as well as daytime running LED lights. The front bumper will also have a marching facelift both in terms of styling as well as shape. The new 7 Series has got new diesel engine line up and that will make it not only powerful but frugal as well.
