To cater for the rising demand of the BMW 3 Series, BMW Malaysia has decided to assembly 3 Series locally for Malaysian market. It will assemble 3 Series in two specification 320d and 328i. The locally assembling of the 320d and 328i would help the company to offer the vehicles at reduced prices. The BMW is planning to bring down the prices significantly. The 328i will be made available at the showrooms at RM289,800 (around Rs 50 lakh). The 328i will be sold with a discount of RM 20,000 (around Rs3 lakh). But, those who are planning to buy 320d, they may get heavy discount. The company has decreased the prices by RM50,000 (which is around Rs8 lakh). The decision to manufacture BMW locally will be a boon for the car lovers.

If we talk about 328i, it will offer two variants — Sport Line and Luxury Line. The company has made no significant changes in engine. The 328i specification will come with 2 litre Twin Power Turbo engine. The engine produces 245 hp at 5,000-6,500 rpm. But, the 320d will come with 2.0 litre diesel mill. The engine produces 184 hp at 4,000 rpm. The 320d will offer to variants to the car lovers which are Sport Line and Modern Line trims.

But, for Indian market, the launch is planned in the next two months. The new 3 Series will make its debut soon in Indian market. The media reports suggest that the trail production has been conducted in Chennai and which has successful. So, the car lovers will not have to wait for long to witness BMW 3 Series running on the Indian roads. The BMW Series 3 would be made available in three specifications which include 320i, 328i, 318d and 320d. The BMW Series 3 would face tough competition from Audi A4, which has been redesigned recently. Redesigned Audi A4 has an advantage for being early in launching the car in the Indian market. But, it is expected that BMW Series 3 will be successful in luring the car lovers.
