Three premium car makers – BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi, that also shuffle positions constantly have decided to target the Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh car segment and to pitch in cars that focus the youth. Where Mercedes will be launching Mercedes Benz B Class Sports Tourer and A Class small car, BMW is all set to launch the BMW 1 Series car. Meanwhile, Audi will be launching the A3 hatchback and all these cars will be priced in the aforementioned price band. Launch of these cars by BMW, Audi and Mercedes means that not only do people have a taste of premium cars at lower price, a shift of preference for cars could also trigger.

From near future to 2015, the launch schedule of these premium segment cars varies but this thing is sure that once these are launched in India, there will be a revolution as there is no dearth of premium car buyers. The thing that people look for is affordable price and when they can get a Mercedes Benz car at never before Rs 25 lakh price tag, experts believe, there will be a long queue of car buyers. Besides, the other two brands Audi and BMW have also proved their might in India with BMW selling the X1 SUV and BMW 3 Series cars in more than expected numbers. On the other hand recent launch of Audi Q3 SUV and consequent sales have proved what potential Indian car market has for premium cars.

Among the upcoming premium cars in India, the B Class Sports Tourer by Mercedes will be the first to arrive and as per the buzz, this September. And following it or preceding surprise launches by Audi or BMW, premium cars seem to overflow the segment that though lacks potential of selling cars in huge numbers but if there are proper products, there can be a sudden spur similar to the sedan and SUV segment that has seen a boost eating away some share of the hatchback segment.
