Toyota Motors has finally rolled out its famous and renowned Toyota Etios twins in Brazil. What is more exciting is that both Toyota Etios sedan and Toyota Etios hatchback will be built locally there and the hatchback would drop the ‘Liva’ batch. The cars will be manufactured at the Sorocaba unit. It is a well-known fact that Brazil car market is one of the most flourishing one in the world and the Brazilian car consumers’ needs and requirements are similar to that of the Indian consumers. Therefore, the cars that are built for the Indian customers will also suit for Latin America as well.  The price of both the cars have been kept affordable and pretty close to what it is available in India.

With the same point in mind, Toyota Motors decided to launch the Toyota Etios twins in the Brazil. Both these cars have already made its mark in the South African car bazaar. Talking about the Brazilian launch, there four variants for the Toyota Etios hatchback and three variants of the Etios sedan. Except the base variant, all other variants of the car will be loaded with some impressive features such as anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution system, power windows, power steering and advanced audio system with USB interface.

Coming to the engine department, the cars will be offered with two engine options, 1.3 litre and 1.5 litre. The 1.3 litre of engine will be producing high power of 84BHP (petrol) and 90BHP (ethanol). On the other hand, the 1.5 litre of engine is capable of churning out peak power output of 92BHP (petrol) and 96BHP (ethanol). In Brazil, the hatchback Etios will be facing a very tough competition from Hyundai HB20, which is the Hyundai i20 there and is produced locally.
