Going through the increasing demand of MPV’s in Indian car market, Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan is going to bring Go+ MPV soon in India. According to recent reports spies have witnessed MPV being tested on Indian roads, although the test mule was covered with white cover but it was not hiding the looks of MPV and it was not impossible for spies to get complete clue about the vehicle at first instance. The MPV is already on sale in Indonesia.
The MPV is expected to reach on Indian roads in the early months of next year and would be second vehicle by company after Datsun Go hatchback which was launched earlier this year. The MPV is also based on the same platform on which Go hatchback is developed. The MPV is speculated to be offered in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol version is anticipated to be offered with 1198cc three cylinder engine, 12 valve petrol engine boosting the power of 68 PS and torque of 104 NM at 5000 rpm and 4000 rpm respectively. Whereas the diesel version is expected to be boosted by 1.5 litre diesel engine which has been offered in various products of its parent company Nissan’s vehicle. It is anticipated to be priced between Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 7 lakh.
As mentioned above the MPV is based on Go hatchback and therefore it is expected to get interiors inspired from it including spinal support seats, tear drop wipe function for the wipers, follow me home headlamps etc. after launch the MPV will have to compete with established MPV’s in Indian car market namely Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki, Enjoy from Chevrolet, Nissan Evalia and Mobilio from Honda.
