Datsun Redi-Go to debut in first quarter of 2016
Datsun the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan Motors, is all set to bring its third product in Indian car market after launch of Go hatchback and Go+ MPV almost a year ago. The up-coming product from Japanese car maker would be a small car which would be named as Redi-Go and is speculated to be priced around Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom price). According to report revealed by Mr. Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motors India Ltd, the new initiative from car maker is make to its debut in the month of March next year.
Developed on Common Modular Family CMF-A platform the new member in Datsun family would be empowered with three cylinder petrol engine that will be mated with five speed manual transmission system. According to reports car maker may also offer automated manual transmission system in the top end variant of this new hatchback.
Redi-Go is reported to make its first appearance during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016 where it will be launched unveiled. After launch in March 2016 it will compete against existing small cars like Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto in segment.
