Facelift Mahindra XUV 500: Curtain to unfold on May 25, 2015
According to reports domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra is going to launch the facelift version of its highly appraised SUV XUV 500 in Indian car market on May 25, 2015. The SUV has been caught under lenses being tested on Indian roads and has given clear picture of the changes that would be offered in facelift version. The new XUV 500 is reported to continue the same engine configuration of 2.2 litre four cylinder mHawk diesel engine boosting the power of 140 bhp and torque of 330 Nm. It is speculated to be priced around Rs. 11.50 lakh and will compete against its existing strong contenders namely Renault Duster and Tata Safari Storme.
The surgical changes that would be offered in facelift XUv 500 would be subtle including new headlamp assembling with S shaped projector daytime running LEDs, fog lights, chrome garnished front grille and enlarged air dam. The side profile is said to be the same except the new 10 spoke alloy wheels. Interiors are reported to be enriched with new color scheme along with minute contemporary changes.
