Facelift Skoda Superb launched with price tag of Rs. 18.87 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi)
Skoda has launched the facelift version of its sedan Superb in Indian car market today with price tag of Rs. 18.87 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). Prior to this the Czech car maker had unveiled the same vehicle during the ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2014. The facelift sedan is launched in both petrol and diesel versions. As far as engine configuration is concerned in facelift Superb, company has not made any changes and both petrol and diesel variants are equipped with existing engine configurations i.e., 1.8 TSI petrol engine and 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine.
The major cosmetic changes that are offered in facelift Superb are made on exteriors and interiors thus making it completely an aggressive model in its segment. The front fascia has been developed with newly designed bumper and bonnet followed by butterfly grille. The exteriors are also blessed with new headlamps accompanied with daytime running LEDs. The top end model is also blessed with power washers. Moving back to rear side it is equipped with newly designed tail lamps along with LEDs, with license plate placed on boot lid. Moving in the interiors it sports push button followed by three spoke multi functional steering wheelbase. It also has luggage efficiency of 56 5litres. Other features offered in interiors include adaptive front light system, hill hold control, eight air bags, three point safety belts etc.
Addressing the launch of Skoda Superb Mr. Sudhir Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, Skoda Auto India, launch of facelift Skoda Superb is part of company’s offensive strategy and the facelift Superb has been tried to give more attractive looks than its erstwhile version.
