Fiat Punto Abarth coming in June, Wrangler and Cherokee in October
Fiat India is gearing up for the year and ready to make the Indian car bazaar rock with its new and exciting products. The car maker is in full swing and would come up with a brand new car for the Indian car aspiring consumers, called Fiat Punto Abarth. Apart from that two prominent Jeep brand models, including Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee will hit the Indian shores this year. As of now, the car maker has 0.5% of current market share, and these new models might help the car maker to double this figure. Besides the above mentioned cars, the company is also planning to come up with SUVs, which are literally selling like hot cakes in the Indian car market.

Coming back to the launches this year, Fiat Punto Abarth will be developed and manufactured at its Ranjangaon manufacturing unit, which is located in Maharashtra. This one will be introduced in both diesel as well as in petrol engine options by June 2013. On the other hand, Jeep products will be imported via CBU route, which means a hefty price tag could be expected here. These Jeep cars will step in India by October, 2013.
Fiat is leaving no room for error and also working hard on its dealership network as well. By the end of this year, the company wishes to touch 110 figure in terms of dealership networks. Furthermore, to strengthen its position and establish itself even more, Fiat India is mulling on exporting the made-in-India Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Punto to Africa, Australia, Japan and United Kingdom. Also, the car maker has kept big aims for this year in terms of sales. Fiat India is targeting to sell about 25000 units this year and according to us, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler and new Fiat Punto Abarth might just help the car maker to achieve this target easily!
