Force Motors MPV coming soon
Enthused with the success of the Force Motors Force One SUV, the Pune based Indian car maker is all set to launch a multipurpose vehicle. This Force Motors MPV will be competing with the likes of Mahindra Xylo, Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova. The car is, as reports suggest, will be based on Mercedes Viano’s platform and it will be reengineered to meet the Indian conditions. To be launched with the same 2.2 L CRDi Dailmer sourced engine, the new MPV in India will not just another addition to the fleet as it will be bringing with it the trust and brand value of being based on the Mercedes platform. The expected price and other details of the new MPV by Force Motors are unavailable as the car is under development.
The MPV market in India is on the rise and there will be two new additions soon in the form of Nissan Evalia and Chevrolet Enjoy. And with the third from Force Motors, the segment will have six highly lucrative offering. Presently, the Innova and Ertiga have settled themselves quite well while Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo are also enjoying the feast. Launching another MPV in the segment will not only improve competition but will also fetch exceptional sales as well, suggests one auto industry known. The reason behind this proposition is that the Force Motors is expected to price its new MPV quite well.
Meanwhile, in order to produce and develop new cars and expand its portfolio in the country, the car maker will be expanding its production plant capacity and along with the MPV, it will also be launching some commercial segment light commercial vehicles soon. Besides this, the car maker has put a hectic schedule to improve the brand awareness that is currently restricted to only commercial segment.
