The authorized distributor of Ford vehicles in Nepal, Go Automobiles has addressed to the ‘The Himalayan Times’ that the new Ford EcoSport SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is expected to hit the Nepalese auto market in the month of December, 2012. It will be launched in both the engine variants: petrol and diesel. The concept version of the Ford EcoSport has close resemblance to its original production specifications, showcased at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The all new Ford EcoSport has been designed on the B-platform, received huge response and appreciation in the Indian automotive industry and US market.

It will be sold over the 100 market including the Nepal. According to the Director of Go Automobiles, the stunning looks and sophisticated technical integrations of Ford EcoSport will make them the sales leader in the market. This upcoming EcoSport will be power-packed with 1litre Ecoboost engine that will churn out maximum power of 120PS.

This engine will be matted with a 5 speed manual transmission. As far as, concerning to the fuel efficiency and carbon dioxide emissions it will impress with 20 percent extra efficiency and 140g/km emission. The Nepalese auto market will be supplied by the Ford EcoSport units from the company’s Chennai manufacturing plant.
