Ford to unveil its compact sedan globally during Indian Auto Expo
Where all car enthusiasts are expecting a new hatchback concept car from Ford India, on the contrary company is working on introducing a four door, sub four meter sedan during Indian Auto Expo 2014, where it will be introduced in global market. Codenamed as B562, the upcoming sub four meter sedan will replace the existing sedan Ford Fiesta Classic from Indian car market when it will be released for sale in 2015. It is anticipated that the upcoming sedan will be tough contender to Maruti Dzire and Amaze from Honda. It is speculated that Ford will launch this sedan quite early before the launch of its new hatchback which will be launched to replace the existing Ford Figo from market.
It is reported that the upcoming concept sedan car from company is the perfect mix of latest technical features that are offered in company’s hatchbacks and sedans prevailing in global market. The major features offered in this car includes new hexagonal grille which is similar to Aston Martin, wraparound headlamps, aggressive front fascia followed by fascinating side profile. As far as internal panel of new sedan car is concerned it will carry the same dashboard and instrument panel as exists in Fiesta along with power steering. It would be interested to know that the major drawback of Fiesta was cramped space which disappointed to customers, but now as the upcoming sedan is larger than Fiesta it is blessed with spacious interiors. Moreover the higher roof and high placed seats will offer comfort seating experience to the passengers.
It is expected that company may offer the new sedan with any of these engine options namely 1.2-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre ‘Sigma’ petrol, 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo-petrol, or 1.5-litre DV5 turbo-diesel engine. It is also expected that instead of all these engine options company may boost 1.0 litre EcoBoost, 999 cc petrol engine developing the power of 80 bhp, however without turbo.
