General Motors unveils Chevrolet Cruze 2016, sales to commence from next year
U.S. car maker General Motors has unveiled the generation next Chevrolet Cruze and the sedan will go for sale in U.S and in global market from next year. The latest alteration offered to Cruze includes both cosmetic and mechanical changes. Under the bonnet it will be empowered with new turbocharged 1.4 litre four cylinder engine, boosting the power of 153 bhp. According to company sources the new Cruze will hit the mark of 100 kmph in the span of eight seconds.
Physically the new Cruze carries more aggressive and dynamic look than compared to erstwhile version. It is 68mm lengthier than outgoing Cruze and embellishes enlarged wheel base of about 106.3 inches. Interestingly it is also light weighted and carries weight of 113 Kg. The stiffness of this luxurious sedan has also been enhanced up-to 27 percent. As an impact of increased length and enlarged wheelbase the cabin now offers more space and comfort seating to passengers. One thing which might disappoint to buyers especially to tall buyers is that due to sleek body the height of sedan has been reduced to half inch. However the legroom at rear side has been enhanced.
Talking about the newly introduced features offered in new Cruze it now bestows new standard MyLind display which supports connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It would be interested to learn that apart from this seven inch touch screen, company also offers an option of eight inch display. Apart from this additional features offered includes heated rear seats, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, wireless phone charging and heated steering wheel. On the safety front it includes land keeping assist system, blind spot monitoring with cross traffic alert and forward collision warning system.
