GM India could soon make a recall for diesel models of some of popular Chevrolet cars in India like Tavera, Sail sedan and Sail UVA. The company is reported to stop the production for diesel models of these car models in domestic market for some time due to some quality issue or defects. It has stopped the production of the BS III version of the Chevrolet Tavera diesel and GM dealerships across the country have been noticed to not sell this car models till further notification.
The same orders have also been fired for twins Sail which have product defects. Yet, the exact problem is unknown but here seems an emission issue with the BSIII version of the MUV Tavera. Meanwhile, the Sail sedan and Sail UVA hatchback have ‘quality issue’ with their Smartech diesel motors. Thus, it is expected that the company could made a recall for these car models. And, GM India will be the number four company in the country which is going to make a recall for cars within a month of period.
