Honda has Brio platform ready to be adapted into MPV. Already it has made Amaze out of it and the new car seems to add a new feather to the cap. Also production of the new car will be a lot easier for this Japanese car maker and it can utilize its existing production line for it. It is also expected that India will be a production hub for it and it is from here that this car will be exported to new destinations such as Indonesia and neighboring countries. In addition to this, the Indian market is also expected to absorb a larger chunk of production here and the rest of it will be exported.
The Honda Brio based MPV will have the same engine configuration as that of Amaze. 1.5 L iDTEC diesel engine will also be in the service under the hood of the new car and it will be a seven seater car with exceptional mileage. In appearance, it is believed to be a bigger Honda Jazz but it will have the agility and robustness of the Brio hatchback. Furthermore, reports also suggest that this Honda car will also have class leading mileage both in petrol and diesel and as per the initial information, its launch will be first in Indonesia followed by India.
