Honda has started working fast on its plans to increase its vehicles sale in India by almost double. Honda India stepped up efforts to double its sale by its aggressive strategies. For the purpose, it has set a deadline of 2018. Besides introducing the diesel models of its cars such as Honda City, Honda Accord and Honda CR-V apart from Honda Civic and could be a smaller diesel engine in Honda Brio. In addition to these, the Japanese carmaker will manufacture new MPV based on Honda Brio in Jakarta. For the purpose Honda has started a new manufacturing unit in Jakarta. Honda will give new MPV a new look which would be different from Brio. Honda will make use of platform and components of Brio but it would be altogether a different car. It is not the first time that Honda has used Brio platform for developing a car.

Earlier also Honda has planned to use Brio platform to develop a sedan based. The car lovers will have to wait to see that how many other cars from Honda would be developed from Brio. But, Honda has not yet revealed its other plans about its presence in India. But, it is certain that Honda Brio MPV will soon be launched in India to capture its share in the Indian market. But, Honda might face stiff competition from other car companies as the demand of such cars in India is increasing and the other big players in the car industries are also planning to tap the growing market of MPVs.

Maruti Suzuki has launched its Maruti Ertiga MPV. The new car of Maruti has made use of Maruti Swift platform. As expected, Ertiga has become all the rage as it has received huge success in bookings. The media reports suggest that so far Maruti has booked more than 35,000 units in just 30 days. Hyundai, Nissan and General Motors are also all set to launch their MPVs in the Indian market. So, the car lovers in India can expect a long list of MPVs from which they can pick the best one for them. Besides, Honda will soon launch Brio with diesel engine.
