Hyundai and Nissan cars to be dearer from tomorrow
We think the car industry isn’t being fair with its consumers! On one hand they are introducing fresh car models, but then at the same time, they are not stepping behind from increasing the prices of their products. This festive season, the car makers are busy launching new models into the market, but simultaneously many car manufacturers are increasing the prices of their cars. Both Hyundai and Nissan are in the list this time. Nissan and Hyundai are hiking a small amount on their selected models. Nissan’s Sunny and Micra and Hyundai’s Santa Fe to Hyundai Eon will get dearer from tomorrow.

However, we can’t blame the car manufacturers solely. The major reason behind this price hike is that the logistics and transportation costs are taking a toll these days and this has take the input costs and fuel prices up with a supersonic speed. So it was quite obvious that the car manufacturers will be increasing the prices of their car range sooner or later. But the festive season isn’t right time we guess! But the gurus of the car industry suggest that the hike will not be huge, so the sales shouldn’t be affected much.

Besides Nissan and Hyundai, recently, General Motors India also hiked the prices of Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Beat, which are being sold in high numbers during the festivities. Apart from these, Audi, Renault and Honda along India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki were already ahead in the race and hiked their car prices about a fortnight ago.
Now, it would really be interesting to see, will these price rise in car prices will actually affect the car sales during the festive season or not. If it does, then let hope for price slashes on New Year’s!
