Big name carries responsibilities with it and Hyundai motors seem to be carrying out the latter quite well in India. Since last three years, the India’s second largest carmaker is donating used cars to Industrial Training Institutes and other educational institutions in order to promote research and development in the auto sector. The cars thus donated include Hyundai Sonata and others cars priced Rs 5 lakh and above. With this Hyundai is not only pumping cars in India it is also contributing its part to further research and development in the auto sector.  

As per reports, Hyundai has donated over 160 cars since it began donating cars three years ago. These cars are generally pre-owned cars and received by Hyundai in exchange schemes. Around 146 cars were donated to ITI Tamil Nadu and 24 to the ITI in Andhra Pradesh. As per sources, the Korean car maker is at advantage by gifting these cars as in turn it spreads awareness about possibilities in fuel efficiency and power output. The Hyundai cars thus received by the ITIs and educational institutes are used by the research scholars and students to make experiments with respect to every aspect of a car. Be it design or fuel efficiency or the safety features, the students learn a lot from the Hyundai cars.  

Specifically Hyundai cars above Rs 5 lakh are gifted as these cars have new features and this helps students to learn more about the new features such as anti-lock braking system, air bags, cruise control and steering mounted controls. The students are reported allowed to dissemble and see what is there inside the car and are also allowed to experiment with the fuel and other systems under supervision to under the existing technologies and derive a better technology if possible. Hyundai on the other hand also gets benefitted with it as it contributes in helping the country to evolve better technology and it also helps the Korean to strengthen their presence.
