South Korean carmaker Hyundai seems to have decided to take over India small car segment. Its intentions took off with the launch of small car Hyundai Eon and now reports are doing rounds on the internet that the Hyundai Eon LPG version is in the making. With the LPG power to Hyundai Eon it seems to be sure that Hyndai will wipe the small car segment due to the unexpected increase in petrol prices. However, with all things considered the Hyundai Eon LPG price will be the deciding factor in its sales. One can get a glimpse of the Hyundai Eon LPG at the Auto Expo 2012.

Call it Hyundai’s obsession to go the eco way or call it a tactic to boost sales but it is sure that Hyundai Eon will offer an excellent option to the small car buyers in India. The Korean carmaker will be producing the LPG version in India and the finished car will be exported from here. Reports also suggest that the car is in the making at the Hyundai unit in India and is likely to be launched in few months. Though non-factory fitted avatar or makeshift models were still on the roads of India. The LPG model of Hyundai Eon will deliver the same performance as the petrol sibling, however, the customers may have to pay a little extra to get this car that is sure not to dig a hole in their pocket.  

he Hyundai EON LPG version will be totally safe and will be tested for safety norms. It is said Hyundai has also sought approval from ARAI in this regard and the car is just taking final rounds before it will be launched soon.

Inspired with the popularity of the car in India, Hyundai is said to have started exporting Hyundai EON to Algeria from the Chennai plant. It has plans to extend the export destination to few other countries in the near future.
