Hyundai India gets Senior Management Elevation
Hyundai India has made some changes in its management. Mr. R. Sethuraman has been promoted as Director while Mr. Rakesh Srivastava has been promoted as the Sr. Vice President of the company. This top level changes are seen in the light of putting HMIL in the hands of experienced hands so that the current phase of slowdown can be handled effectively. It is believed that the lack of positive sentiment in the Indian car bazaar due to the high interest rates, increasing fuel prices and most importantly inflation. But despite of this small car Hyundai Eon, Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20 have performed considerably well on the sales chart. Experts also believe that the new management will also be looking after the road ahead for Hyundai India. It is believed that that car maker will soon be launching a compact sedan, a compact SUV and Hyundai i10 diesel.
Though there is no official announcement as of yet but if sources are to be believed, the car maker is soon to revolutionize the small car segment with i10 diesel. Also compact sedan based on i20 which is known as Hyundai HB20 could also extend the presence of the car maker in newer segments in the country. Though the road ahead is not yet clear but it is believed that after the new top bosses take charge they will be soon chalking out new strategy for the car maker in India.
Meanwhile, another challenge for the new management will be to bring back the lost sheen to Hyundai car sales. Last month was another bad month with sales down by 5 percent and there seems no hope of recovery. But auto industry experts believe that if Hyundai will launch cars in the small car diesel segment, compact sedan, compact SUV and MPV segment then there will be a sudden jump in sales and this could wipe out all worries of its face.
