Indian Car Industry: During This Week
Impact of up-coming festive season started showing its significances in Indian car market and all car makers have started opening their cards closed for this period. Where at one side this week witnessed launch of limited editions and facelift versions on the other side dates of new cars to be launched during this month were announced by the makers followed by bookings of upcoming cars.
Maruti Suzuki Swift “Glory” Edition: The week began with launch of limited Glory Edition of Maruti Suzuki Swift by country’s leading car maker MSIL. The limited edition is offered with existing engine configuration of 1.2 litre K-Series petrol and 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine configurations offered with five manual gear transmission system. The edition receives various cosmetic changes on exteriors and interiors including red and while color treatment on roof and side followed racing stripes throughout the body. On the interior portion also it receives dual color treatment of black and red color on seats. Apart from this it also receives various new cosmetic changes including wiper mounted on tailgate, steering mounted audio control and few more.
Mercedes Benz GLE Class to debut on October 14, 2015: German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz is going to launch GLE SUV in Indian car market on October 14, 2015. The nw GLE Class will replace the existing M Class SUV from India. Under the hood it will be offered with two engine options of 2.2 litre 4 cylinder and 3.0 litre V6 in diesel variant. Both the engines would be mated with nine speed automatic transmission system.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno caught on roads: Spies have caught the upcoming hatchback Baleno by leading car manufacturer MSIL being tested on Indian roads. The hatchback is expected to make its debut in Indian car market on October 26, 2015 but has made it curiosity among Indian car buyers quite early before its launch. To be offered in both petrol and diesel variants the hatchback would be offered in overall four trims namely Sigma, Delta, Zet and Alpha and company has already commenced its bookings at down payment of Rs. 25,000.
Facelift Ford EcoSport: With amazing price tag of Rs. 6.79 lakh, Ford has launched the facelift version its compact SUC EcoSport in Indian car market. The facelift EcoSport gets various subtle changes on both exteriors and interiors. The front fascia remains unchanged except integration of LED DRLs, the side profile receives skid plates, 17 inch alloy wheels.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 “Urbano” limited edition launched: After launching limited edition of its best selling hatchback Swift in Indian car market on October 5, 2015 MSIL launched the limited edition of another highly acclaimed hatchback Wagon R in Indian car market on October 8, 2015. To be named as Urbano the limited edition receives various new features like hands free Bluetooth kit, USB charger, reverse parking sensors etc. On exteriors you will notice body graphics, rear view mirrors, boot-lid and taillights, fog lamps surrounded with chrome garnish treatment.
Gran Turismo concept revealed by Hyundai Motors: Korean car maker revealed its conceptual car Gran Turismo N2025. The concept car revealed by car maker would be the first car that will be enriched with Hydrogen fuel unit and would be an eco friendly car. It is reported that car has been developed keeping the requirements of drivers who prefer to rough driving on winding roads.
Fiat Punto Abarth Evo: Launching on October 19, 2015 Fiat Punto Abarth Evo is expected to carry the legacy of Abarth brand to new heights. Under the bonnet it will receive 1.4 litre T-Jet Turbocharged petorl engine churning the power of 145 bhp.
Chevrolet Trailblazer: The premium SUV Trailblazer by American car maker Chevrolet will make its debut in Indian car market on October 21, 2015. The car maker has however revealed its pictures on its official website. The SUV will be powered with 2.8 litre dour cylinder turob diesel engine boosting the power of 197 bhp @ 3,600 rpm and torque of 500 Nm @2,000 rpm and mated with six speed automatic transmission system. It will be equipped with various remarkable contemporary features and will compete against Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endevaour and others.
