Indian supercar at Rs 30 Lakh by DC Design to be showcased at 2012 Expo
A supercar that has the potential to take on the likes of Lamborghinis and Ferraris, alongside is fitting enough to quench the thirst of supercar enthusiasts in India, who go gaga over the design of these automobiles. To bring you this supercar is none other than Dilip Chhabria- the famous automotive designer, this time he will not only design but will manufacture it as well under the banner of its production house DC Design. The first Indian supercar will be unveiled at 2012 Auto Expo by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. The speedy car will be offered at an on-road price of under INR 30 Lakh and the deliveries will commence by late 2013.
The supercar, which is yet to be named, will not be pitted against the power and performance of Lamborghini and Ferrari. Nevertheless, it will be a threat to these reputed names when it comes to appearance and feel in conjunction with quality fit and finish levels. The marvelous vehicle is projected to get motorized from a turbocharged V6 petrol engine that will be borrowed from Honda that will give-off a big 400 bhp of absolute power. The much-hyped car is sure to have some resemblance to Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 that is priced at whopping INR 4.1 Crore in India.
Dilip Chhabria has earlier designed the electric cars Mahindra Reva NXR and Mahindra Reva NXG that will also be displayed by Mahindra & Mahindra at the 2012 Auto Expo. DC Design as of now plans to roll out 300 units initially from their Pune based manufacturing plant, which can be further increased to nearly 3000 units per year.
