Isuzu Motors releases MU 7 SUV in Indian car market
After launching MU-7 SUV in Indian car market this year in February 2013, Japanese car maker Isuzu Motors has started assembling the parts of MU 7 and Isuzu D-Max pick up for Indian car market through its Indian alliance Hindustan Motors. These parts will be assembled in India at company’s plant in Chennai through CKD route from Thailand. It is expected that Japanese SUV maker may start it production unit in India from 2015-16. The prices of different models of MU-7 will be Rs. 22 lakh and Rs. 22.3 lakh for BSIII and BSIV model respectively.
According to Mr. Takashi Kikuchi, Managing Directors, Isuzu Motors India said that company is excited to start the assembling of its products in Indian car market as it has taken three years for company to understand the scenario of Indian car market. Mr. Kiuchi also added that with this company has also introduced a new service for its customers known as Isuzu Insight, which will facilitate customers to understand and improve their driving style and habits to enjoy fuel efficiency and improved performance from their vehicle. Apart from this strengthen its roots in Indian car market company has decided to explore network of dealers by 2015-16.
It would be interested to know that company has decided to made an investment of Rs. 3,000 crore at is production plant as the result of which it shall be able to produce of 1.20 lakh units of its vehicles annually. For this company has also signed an MoU with government of Andhra Pradesh to establish its LCV plant in Sri City Hyderabad. According to sources of company it will continue assembling of MU 7 SUV at production plant of Hindustan Motors at Chennai, so that it can release 5,000 units of SUV during ongoing financial year.
