Land Rover Range Rover Evoque bags Diesel Car of the Year award
The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, launched last year is creating its own space throughout the world. Already launched in India at a start price of Rs 57 lakh, the SUV has recently been awarded as the Diesel Car of the Year. Diesel which is a car magazine in Britain, homeland of Range Rover Evoque has given the title to the car. Already, the Range Rover Evoque has several such awards to its credit and this one will be the most prized of all. Meanwhile, Diesel has awarded the Land Rover Discovery 4 as the Best 4x4 car. This is the fourth year in a row that the Discovery 4 has received the honor.
Recently, the Range Rover Evoque convertible was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and there as well the SUV has attracted much attention of the car lovers. Back in India, the Audi Q5 staunch rival car is doing well and is maintaining growth in sales month on month. Besides this, India also awaits the Range Rover Evoque Convertible launch towards the end of this year. The Range Rover Evoque is available in three door and five door models worldwide and is powered by 2 L petrol and 2.2 L diesel engine options. There is an option of six speed automatic or manual gears on the Evoque. In India both the petrol and diesel models are available and the highest model price is around Rs 71 lakh and is the Range Rover Evoque Coupe that has a 1999cc petrol engine under the hood.
Meanwhile, the award to Discovery 4 has arrived at a time when the car has also achieved a record of driving 10,000 miles in 50 days. Notably, this was the 1 millionth Discovery SUV that was driven to that far in such a short time. The Land Rover Range Rover Discovery 4 price in India is around Rs 70 lakh.
