India’s prominent SUV car maker, Mahindra and Mahindra recently announced that its flagship SUV, Mahindra Bolero managed to sell a whopping 100686 units of Bolero in 2011-12. These figures are the highest annual sales even in the history of M&M. Last month; the firm sold about 10026 units of Mahindra Bolero, which are also the highest month sales ever by far for Mahindra and Mahindra.

These impressive sales have helped this monstrous SUV in fetching the 7th position in the top passenger cars of the country in 2011-12. Earlier, Mahindra Bolero was settled on 9th rank, but the sales certainly managed to move up a notch. What is more interesting is that Mahindra Bolero is the only SUV that has a place in the top 10 best selling passenger cars in the country.

On such a good occasion, the Chief Executive (Automotive Division) of Mahindra and Mahindra, Mr. Pravin Shah, the company selling over 1 lakh units of Mahindra Bolero in 2011-12 financial year shows the confidence of the consumers in the car brand. In last couple of years, Bolero has emerged as a winner and came up with shinning colors. The SUV has adjusted itself with the consumer’s lifestyle and aspirations. And the firm is quite confident that Mahindra Bolero will persist to be the most loved SUV for the Indian consumers.
