Mahindra Bolero leads the chart of top selling utility vehicles
Name of Mahindra Bolero from domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra does not require any introduction to introduce itself in world of utility vehicles being sold in Indian car market. Although the one time highly preferred utility vehicle started losing its shine with emergence of new utility vehicles in Indian car market after its launch, minimizing the sales figure of Bolero below 1000 units per month. It would be interested to know that despite of poor sales performance Bolero has succeeded in continuing the honor of top selling utility vehicle in Indian car market successively for fourth month during the month of July. However it witnessed the drop of 12 percent in sales during July as against sales during the same period last year.
Bolero retained the crown by pushing its tough contenders Ford EcoSport to fourth position followed by Innova from Japanese car maker Toyota Motors to second position and Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki India Limited at third position. On the other side the recently launched Mobilio MPV by another Japanese auto giant Honda Motors also succeeded in making its strong position in segment and is expected to make some notable changes in the sales of next month. The entrance made by Mobilio has compelled country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL to determine some strong marketing strategy for it highly acclaimed MPV Ertiga which at present is placed at third position.
