The Indian utility car maker, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that its Bolero MPV has attained a new benchmark with the total sales of 1,00,686 units in fiscal year 2011-12. This is the highest sales stats for Bolero since it has been launched in India. Bolero has proved to be the best selling MUV for the 6th consecutive year registering sales stats of over 1 lakh units in FY 2011- 12 which is quite higher than 83,112 units sales in fiscal year 2010-11. With this new record the Bolero has registered growth of 21%.

Last Month, the company sold 10,026 units of Bolero, thereby attaining highest ever monthly sales. With this achievement, Bolero has got 7th position amongst the most selling passenger cars in India in fiscal year 2011 – 12. Moreover, Bolero is the only MUV to be ranked in the top 10 selling passenger cars.

The Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, Pravin Shah commented on the occasion that sales over 1 lakh units in financial year 2011- 12 shows the trust and confidence of the buyers towards this magnificent MUV.  He added that since inception, the Bolero has evolved to be the aspiring Pullman for the buyers, thereby enabling it to achieve exceptional CAGR of 26%. He also added that the company is sure for continuous success of Bolero in coming years as well.

Bolero was launched in August 2000 and since then it has become the pulse of MUV enthusiasts with the arrival of facelifted version time to time. Recently, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the ‘New Bolero’ with many additional features and exterior upgradations.
