Mahindra doles out offers on Quanto sales on a constant decline
Mahindra SUVs have always rocked. Mahindra Bolero created history, Scorpio was no inferior, and the XUV 5OO too had set a new trend in the market. There are though some products from this SUV maker that did not pick up and these include Mahindra Verito and the latest entry Mahindra Quanto. As per reports, the car sales of Quanto is low and that is why the car maker has is offering it with free insurance and other benefits. Sales were atop initially and it seemed that this is the SUV that the market was expecting and appeared as if this is the SUV that will be giving some sleepless nights to Renault Duster. The recent slid in sales has put up a different picture.

It is compact, it is well powered and it has style besides it is economically priced. When Quanto was launched it was believed that India has now got the family car which is big and spacious and gives a feel of SUV but the charm seems to have faded in the recent months. The sales of this Mahindra SUV are on a constant decline since February and only 1338 units were sold last month. It seems that this car has also succumbed to the pressures of the industry. It also seems to be unfair to judge it presently as the market conditions are low and every other car is performing badly. The Tata Nano is the worse.
As per the latest advertisements in newspapers and media, the car is being offered with free insurance and cash benefits of up to Rs 18k. The range of this car starts at Rs 5.99 for the entry level model. It seems that this desperation by the car maker is clearly an attempt to capture the market before the Ford Ecosport arrives next month.
