Mahindra & Mahindra may mesmerize sports utility vehicles (SUV) lovers in India by launching facelifted SsangYong Mahindra Rexton W. It is the same Rexton W that has been unveiled at the Busan Motor Show in Korea recently. Now, there are all the chances that Mahindra would bring the vehicle to India. Mahindra has a reason which has encourage it to consider launching the new Rexton W in India. The SUV has all the potential to compete in the SUV market which is being ruled by some established brands like Toyota and Ford. The SUVs are available in the Indian market within the range of Rs 20 lakh.

The sources said that facelifted Ssangyong Mahindra Rexton W has the premium feel which the outdated Rexton was lacking. Mahindra has showcased Ssangyong Rexton at the Auto Expo held in January. But, it failed to attract the attention of SUV lovers in the Expo because of its outdated design. Mahindra had plans to launch the same Ssangyong Rexton in India, which was showcased at the Auto Expo. But, as it did not appeal the SUV enthusiasts, it has decided to consider launching of Rexton W in India, which is much improved version.

Rexton W has been developed in a way that it would be able to appeal the people. Every part of it would attract the SUV lovers. Rexton W gets all new front end. The new projector headlamp at the front has LEDs assembly. Also the grille has been redesigned with plenty of chrome. The turn indicators come with LEDs. The Rexton W gets new wing mirror and all new front bumper. Mahindra has redesigned the rear part of the vehicle to give it a look of a perfect premium and elegant SUV. Also, Rexton W will come with 2 L turbo engine that would produce 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of Torque.

Mahindra is a popular SUV maker in India; the company has two of the most selling SUVs in its portfolio, Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra XUV 500. Slowly other car makers are also foraying into SUV segment, the latest car maker to join the band wagon is Renault India. The company already has a SUV Koleos in its portfolio, but now it is going to launch a low priced SUV, Duster in India.
