Mahindra Mini Xylo coming this Diwali!
It seems that the runaway success of Mahindra XUV 500 in the Indian market has proved a major excitement booster for the country’s largest utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra. Just a few months after launching the Mahindra XUV 500 in the Indian market, the company rolled-out new generation Mahindra Xylo 2012 in the country last month. And now, the company is all set to its highly ambitious Mahindra Xylo Mini model in the country, during the upcoming Diwali season, in October 2012.
The Mahindra Mini Xylo has been spotted testing on the Indian roads for a number of times in past few months. Even the winter testing session of test mule of the vehicle has already been spotted under winter testing in Northern Europe.

The Xylo Mini will be a trimmed-down version of the existing Xylo MPV, which will be carrying a length of less than 4 meters, making it to qualify for the lesser excise duty. The vehicle will come powered by the company’s popular M-Hawk engine which is capable of delivering a top output of 70 hp along with a top torque of 160 Nm. However, the auto experts are also speculating that the new Xylo may come powered by a 1.5 DCi engine that has already proved its performance in the entry level sedan Mahindra Verito.
The Mini Xylo will be shelved in the price segment of sub Rs 5 lakh, where it will be fighting for space with the likes of Ford Figo, Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Swift and Honda Brio etc.
