Mahindra Quanto launches in Nepal next month
Mahindra Quanto compact SUV, which is fully based on the platform of popular MPV Mahindra Xylo, will soon be running on Nepalian roads. The country's one of the largest passenger and commercial vehicle makers, M&M is reported to launch the Quanto compact SUV in Nepal in July 2013. The Indian auto giant has already launched its global product XUV 500 in that and receiving very well response. Agni Incorporated, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Nepal distributor for SUVs and MUVs will launch the Quanto in that market.

With a capacity of 7 passengers it is a compact sub-4 meters SUV. In Indian auto market, it is being offered with only diesel engine option. From features wise it has been made available in four variants like C2, C4, C6 and C8. And, all these variants are expected to be served to the Nepalian customers. Mahindra Quanto is a very well combination of hatchback and SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) promises to provide impressive performance along with heart winning mileage.
All these variants of the Quanto in Indian domestic market are being offered between Rs 6.09 lakh to Rs 7.65 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Meanwhile, in Nepalian auto market the beast is expected to be available as a premium SUV due to high taxes. Nepal launching model of the Quanto will also have a 1.5 liter twin turbo diesel engine under the hood that churns out max power of 100bhp along with peak torque of 240 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
