Mahindra is certainly in the process of flooding the market with SUVs. After Mahindra XUV 500 it is now Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton which the homegrown SUV maker has launched at the Indian Auto Expo here in New Delhi. This is the first launch after the takeover of Korean carmaker Ssangyong by Mahindra Motors. Besides the Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton the Auto Expo will also be unveiling the Mahindra Ssangyong Korando. In order to woo a large crowd Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton price is supposed to be competitive.

It is over a year now and everybody was waiting for Mahindra to bring any of the offerings by its subsidiary Ssangyong. Moreover, the anticipation was afoot as people wanted to see some world class product in India by Mahindra. Now that the SUV is in, Mahindra has now further strengthened its lineup of SUVs in India.

Looking at the Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton one can comfortably say that it has fully matured proportions and has an impressive 2.6L diesel motor under the hood. Apart from this, there are also airbags, EBD, ABS and numerous other safety features in this SUV that will surely make it to the top 10 SUVs in India. The 162bhp power produced by the engine besides a peak torque of 340Nm is sufficient enough to steer through any on road or off road conditions. Apart from this there is also traction control and climate control air conditioning in the car that will surely win the hearts of SU buyers in India.  

Apart from Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton and Mahindra Ssangyong Korando, a new electric version of Mahindra Verito and the EV car Mahindra Reva NXR were the two which were the show winners.
