Indian SUV maker Mahindra is in the expansion mode and will be launching six new cars in India by 2013. These will include Mahindra Verito CS, and probably Mahindra Xylo Mini. Besides there will be a van based on Mahindra Maxximo coming besides new Mahindra Reva NXR and Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton. All these cars will arrive from Mahindra’s stable before the next fiscal.

Speaking on the upcoming Mahindra cars in India, Pawan Goenka, Mahindra Group President reportedly said that the in the next one year there will be six Mahindra cars coming up from the company’s stable and among them Mahindra Verito CS will be a volume player. The sub-four-meter car will have the tax benefits and it will then attract much attention of the car buyers in India. The Mahindra Verito CS version will be the compact form of the existing Mahindra Vertio and the company believes that it will certainly give an affordable sedan option to the people of India. Even the Mahindra Verito CS price could be as low as that of any premium hatchback.

The Reva NXR on the other hand will launch Mahindra in the electric vehicle segment besides the hybrid that is already in use in some of the SUVs such as Mahindra Bolero. Rexton from Ssangyong stable will enable Mahindra to bring a world class SUV in India.

In order to expand the product base in India, Mahindra has reportedly decided to invest around Rs 5000 crore till the financial year 2014. Experts believe that Mahindra’s lineup for the next one year or so seems promising that will further be strengthened by the present line up that includes the recently launched Mahindra XUV 500 besides other SUVs such as Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio and lately launched Mahindra Thar.
