Mahindra to showcase SUVs at an Agri event in SA
In India, the Mahindra Jeep earlier and now Mahindra Bolero is the iconic SUV of a rich farmer. In order to make it the car of the farmer in South Africa as well, Mahindra has reportedly decided to showcase the Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra XUV 500 and Mahindra Genio besides other at the Nampo Harvest Day Show starting May 15. During the four day show, Mahindra will also be exhibiting a lot of other special edition cars including the Ssangyong cars in order to explore the market there.

As per the information available, the homegrown car maker has set out on a global journey to expand its operations in various parts of the world and South Africa is a major market for it. By showcasing the special models of the car, Mahindra will be able to ramp up demand for its SUVs and other cars in there. Notably, the occasion is a yearly event and it is here that auto enthusiasts and farmers gather to choose and pick the cars that are meant exactly to cater to the farming needs. Since Mahindra offers more off roaders than road cars, it is an excellent opportunity for the car maker to showcase its cars.

The showcase of special editions of the XUV 500, Scorpio and others are expected to have a positive impact on the prospects of Mahindra cars in South Africa and especially when it is introducing the Mahindra XUV 500 that has created more than expected demand in India. As per reports, Mahindra will be displaying nine model cars all of which will have special additions apart from the regular models available. The special editions will include some extra gadgets as well as utility features such as pick up facility such as in the existing Genio pick up.
