Mahindra XUV 500 facelift caught by spies, launching in 2015
ith SUV codenamed as S101 and facelift Bolero already on cards of domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra for 2015 it seems car maker has more gems hidden in bag to surprise its enthusiasts. It is reported that spies have witnessed the facelift version of SUV XUV 500 being tested on Indian roads. According to reports gathered from spies that although changes are not very aggressive and contemporary but will definitely make XUV 500 look different from the existing version.
The changes that would be introduced will include refreshed tail lamps and newly developed front bumper. The side profile is get new door handles followed by new alloy wheels. Apart from these exterior changes interiors will also undergo minute changes. After launch the facelift XUV 500 will compete against Safari Storme from Tata and Duster from Renault.
Moving towards the engine configuration it is speculated to continue with existing 2.2 litre four cylinder mHawk diesel engine churning the power of 140 bhp and torque of 330 Nm at 3750 rpm and 1600-2800 rpm respectively. It is reported that company might enhance engine configuration for improving fuel efficiency performance of SUV. Although the exact date of launch is not yet revealed by car maker but industry experts believe it might debut sometimes during mid of next year.
