Mahindra XUV 500 launched in Chile
Mahindra & Mahindra, India's one of the largest utility vehicle makers, has launched its much popular premium SUV, Mahindra XUV 500 in Chile. The XUV 500 is the first global platform based SUV by Mahindra which was launched in India in October 2011. The company after getting huge success in Indian auto market has started the global launching of the hit vehicle and reporting very well response.
As per reports, XUV 500 for Chilean markets is being manufactured M&M's Chakan facility, Pune. And in order to cater domestic as well as International demand the company has enhanced the production at the plant. In that market it will be giving competition to Hyundai Santa Fe, Chevrolet Captiva and Kia Sorento. With Chilean auto market the company has started the Latin American launch of the popular SUV. Mahindra XUV 500's Chile launch is expected to be followed by Paraguay, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
The leading automobile firm M&M has already launched this popular premium SUV in Nepal, Italy, South Africa and Australia. On the other hand, for Indian auto market the auto giant is reported to bring out a low cost variant by near future. It will be thrown in order to eat the market share of Renault Duster, Ford Ecosport and upcoming Maruti XA Alpha compact SUV. But first of all the company will launch it’s much awaited small car Mahindra Verito Vibe next week in domestic market.
